Emerus Hospitals Spread Holiday Cheer, Announce Toys For Tots Collection

Gifts for children will be accepted at its Sugar Land and Tomball locations through December 18

HOUSTON – November 11, 2016 – Emerus Hospitals is once again teaming up with Toys for Tots by offering donation sites for community members to drop off new, unwrapped gifts for children through December 18 to ensure every child has a toy during the holiday season.

The U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots initiative is the largest outreach program in the Department of Defense. For more than 70 years, it has collected and distributed more than 16 million toys, on average, nationwide to nearly seven million children each Christmas.

“Our goal is to support the communities we serve in times of need,” said Mike Kohler, regional CEO of Emerus. “Some families must choose between buying gifts and paying bills, and that’s a very sobering fact to many people. Every child deserves to experience the joy of opening gifts on Christmas, which is why participating in this program is so important to us.”
