Gifts for children will be accepted at convenient locations through Dec. 14
DALLAS – November 23, 2016 – Baylor Emergency Medical Centers is teaming up with Toys for Tots, offering donation sites around the Dallas-Fort Worth area for community members to drop off new, unwrapped gifts for children through Dec. 14. The goal is to ensure that every child has a toy during the holiday season.
The U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots initiative is the largest outreach program in the U.S. Department of Defense. For more than 70 years, it has collected and distributed more than 16 million toys, on average, nationwide to nearly seven million children each Christmas.
“Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children who may not receive any gifts at Christmas this year,” said Kyle Kirkpatrick, regional CEO of Baylor Emergency Medical Centers. “Every child should experience the joy of waking up to gifts under the tree on Christmas morning. That’s why we hold this program close to our hearts. We are here to support families in times of need.”
Those who wish to contribute to the cause can deliver new, unwrapped toys to participating Baylor Emergency Medical Centers facilities. To find the nearest location, visit www.bayloremc.com.
