El Paso, Texas — September 18, 2025 — In its continued commitment to expand access to care, The Hospitals of Providence, in partnership with Emerus, celebrated the groundbreaking of its new emergency room – The Hospitals of Providence Emergency Room Gateway, conveniently located on I-10 at 11201 Gateway Blvd. W, Suite A, El Paso, TX 79935. The groundbreaking brought together community members, local leaders, elected officials and healthcare team members to commemorate the start of construction.
The new facility will be The Hospitals of Providence 10th emergency room location in El Paso and its fourth developed through the joint venture between The Hospitals of Providence and Emerus. The 10,899-square-foot, 10-bed neighborhood emergency room is designed to provide 24/7 high-quality emergency care closer to home.
“This groundbreaking is more than the start of a construction project — it’s a promise to our neighbors that we are here for them, ready to deliver the very best care,” said Eddie Rivas, Market CEO of The Hospitals of Providence Emergency Room Gateway, Montwood, Northeast and Horizon City Campuses. “Emergency Room Gateway will offer advanced emergency services, onsite imaging and laboratory capabilities, ensuring patients receive timely diagnoses and treatment without unnecessary delays.”
