A New Era of Health Care for Southern Chester County
Today, ChristianaCare officially opened ChristianaCare Hospital, West Grove, marking a historic milestone as the organization’s first neighborhood hospital in its 188-year history.
Located at 1015 West Baltimore Pike, the new small-format hospital provides 24/7 emergency and inpatient care, advanced imaging and virtual access to specialists, all in a modern, patient-centered setting. The facility includes 10 emergency department beds and 10 inpatient beds, designed to support care that is both high-quality and close to home. It will be staffed with board-certified emergency physicians, skilled nurses and clinical specialists, all dedicated to delivering efficient and compassionate care.
Set in the heart of southern Chester County, the hospital introduces a new model of care tailored to the community’s needs. Patients now have access to essential health services in a welcoming and convenient location, without having to travel far from home.
“It is a privilege to open our doors to the people of southern Chester County,” said Janice Nevin, M.D., MPH, ChristianaCare president and CEO. “We’re honored to serve our patients with love and excellence, today and for generations to come.”
