Event will include free photos with Santa, free food and other family friendly activities
NORTHGLENN, COLO. (Nov. 23, 2016) – SCL Health will host a free community event and ribbon-cutting ceremony Dec. 3 to commemorate the winter opening of its fully licensed hospital, SCL Health Community Hospital – Northglenn.
The 60,000-square-foot hospital features a state-of-the-art emergency department with surgical capabilities, an eight-bed inpatient wing, an advanced imaging center and ambulatory services.
The campus also includes medical office space, which will be home to at least three new specialty services:
- The Heart Institute of Colorado – North
- Community Foot & Ankle Clinics
- Gastroenterology of the Rockies
The facility will be staffed by board-certified physicians who are dedicated to providing the same high quality, compassionate care offered today at SCL Health’s other hospital locations.
The hospital comes through a joint venture agreement between SCL Health and Emerus Hospitals, the nation’s leading developer of micro-hospitals and the expansion partner of choice to leading health systems across the nation. It’s designed to bring quality healthcare closer to where people live, work and play in Northglenn and the surrounding communities.
“SCL Health has proudly served the Denver metro area for generations, establishing a reputation of trust, compassion and excellence for our patients and communities,” said SCL Health President and CEO Mike Slubowski. “We are pleased to expand on this legacy by bringing our newest hospital and its services to Northglenn and its neighbors.”
“We are excited to continue our partnership with SCL Health,” said Craig Goguen, CEO of Emerus. “SCL Health Community Hospital – Northglenn will provide convenient access to advanced medical care, which families in Northglenn and neighboring communities expect and deserve.”
Kiewit Building Group, Inc., ranked as a top engineering and construction firm by Fortune magazine, developed the new facility. This is SCL Health’s third community hospital to open in the Denver metro area. We will have four convenient locations: Northglenn, Westminster, Southwest Denver/Littleton and Aurora.
“We are incredibly grateful for the amount of support we’ve received as we introduce these community hospitals in the Colorado market,” said Sean Stricker, regional CEO of SCL Health Community Hospital. “In our experience, patients feel comfort in receiving medical care closer to home, where they can be near their families. This hospital will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to Northglenn residents, right in their neighborhoods.”
