24-Hour Emergency Room Opens Third Facility

A physician-owned operator of freestanding emergency rooms has opened a new facility at 1635 South Voss Road.

It is Houston-based 24-Hour Emergency Room’s third facility. The first opened in Tomball and the second in Sugar Land last year.

The company employs board-certified and board-eligible ER specialists.

“Houston is a booming community. There are half a million people within five miles of our location and ER beds are scarce,” said Dr. Toby Hamilton, an emergency physician and partner with 24-Hour Emergency Room.

“We opened 24-Hour Emergency Room to deliver emergency care in a more efficient, pleasant and cost-effective manner. The emergency medicine physicians who run our facilities have direct control of all aspects of operations. If something needs to be fixed, we can address the issue immediately, analyze the problem and implement a solution. In turn, we are able to provide our patients with fast, efficient and patient-friendly service to those in need of immediate medical attention. We feel that this location is a great fit for our ER.”

All three 24-Hour Emergency Rooms have onsite imaging services and accredited laboratories.

24-Hour Emergency Room is one of several entities that have been opening up such freestanding emergency facilities in the Houston area as an alternative to often-overcrowded hospital emergency rooms.
